Two Workers Stranded 100-Feet High in Bucket Lift at White Oak Building (PHOTOS)

Two workers stuck in a bucket lift more than 100 feet high inside the atrium of an FDA building on New Hampshire Avenue had to be extricated via an outside window early Wednesday morning.

Montgomery County Fire and Rescue workers had to remove a window of the building from the roof outside to reach the two men who were uninjured. Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Pete Piringer reported the bucket lift had mechanical problems stranding the window washers high in the air about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday.

“They were stranded for a little while until a security guard found them,” Piringer told MyMCMedia. The guard called 911.
