Two Shot in Germantown, Police Investigate
Montgomery County police are investigating a shooting that occurred last night in Germantown.
It happened before 10 p.m. in the area of Summer Oak Drive and Waring Station Road. According to police, first responders found an 18-year-old man and a 20-year-old man who were both shot. Police said one man was shot in the foot and the other man was shot in the leg. Both men were transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Police said the preliminary investigation indicates there was a party at a Summer Oak Drive residence. At some point, multiple people who had not been invited to the party arrived to the residence but were turned away by the host, according to police.
The uninvited group of approximately 30 young people remained on foot in the area of Waring Station Road and Summer Oak Drive, police said. During that time, a vehicle, described by police as a white Chevrolet Impala or silver sedan, drove through the intersection and shots were fired from the vehicle.
