Two People Nearly Drowned, Officials Share Pool Safety Facts
Fire officials say over the weekend, someone nearly drowned- making it the second incident within the past two weeks.
This weekend, a 20-year-old man had to be rescued from a pool on the 1000 block of Travis Lane in Gaithersburg. Last week, a four-year-old was saved by a lifeguard at the Stonebridge Community Pool in North Potomac. Fire officials say in both cases, each person had to be resuscitated.
Local officials want to make sure people are careful while swimming this summer. Below are some pool safety facts for parents and kids :
