Two High School Students Charged with Rape in School
A 17-year-old and an 18-year-old have been charged with the rape of a female Rockville High School student, Montgomery County police said Friday.
Henry E. Sanchez, 18, of Bel Pre Road in the Aspen Hill area, and the 17-year-old were charged with first-degree rape and two counts of first-degree sexual offense, according to a police statement. They were held in lieu of bail, police said.
After a bail review hearing Friday in District Court in Rockville, the two are still being held in lieu of bail, State’s Attorney’s Office spokesman Ramon Korionoff said. Because neither of the defendants have been in the country for long, the judge deemed the two could be flight risks, Korionoff said.
The 17-year-old is being charged as an adult. MyMCMedia does not name anyone under the age of 18 charged with a crime.
The rape occurred Thursday at the school yesterday during school hours, police said.
The female student told school administrators she was sexually assaulted in a boy’s bathroom by the two males, police said.
Police determined that about 9 a.m. Thursday, the victim was walking in a school hallway when she met two male students, identified as Sanchez and the 17-year-old. The 17-year-old asked the victim to engage in sexual intercourse, and she refused, police said. The 17-year-old asked the victim again and then forced her into a boy’s bathroom and then into a stall, police said. The two males both raped the victim inside the bathroom stall, police said.
Police arrested the two on school property, police said.
Principal Billie-Jean Bensen sent a letter home to parents Friday morning describing the incident.
“Ensuring a safe, secure and welcoming learning environment for all of our students is our top priority,” Bensen wrote. “Our staff remains vigilant in the monitoring of our school each and every day. Please remind your child that if they believe they are a victim of an assault or see something inappropriate, they should immediately tell a staff member.”
The 2 individuals who were accused yesterday of raping a 14-year-old girl Rockville High School (Maryland) are here illegally, We make the plea today to President Donald J. Trump, United Sates Attorney General Jeff Sessions: Attorney General of the United States, and The United States Department of Justice, that we need help in Montgomery County. Our State and Counties pro-Illegal immigration policies, have lead to an increase in taxes, a decrease in educational standards, and an increase in crime in our county. In 2018 the GOPMontgomery vows to fix these issues, and end this one party monopoly responsible for these policies. #MCGOP2018 #EndSanctuaryCounties #EndOnePartyRule

I have contacted my state delegate asking her to propose legislation that would require schools to disclose the number of students on campus who are 18 years old or older and the number of those who have been convicted of having a committed a crime with adult charges. Just as adults employed on campus must undergo health and criminal background checks, so it behooves our students to have classmates who do not jeopardize the safety of students and staff. As parents, we have a responsibility to determine whether a school provides a secure educational environment for our children.
They are scum & we should not have to pay for them in jail. SEND THE RAPISTS BACK TO
WHEREVER THE ROCK WAS THEY CRAWLED OUT FROM UNDER.
Those of Montgomery County who allowed these two illegal aliens to stay and to enroll in a public school (!!) are equally guilty of this horrible crime.
You are absolutely right
Send these rapists back to where they came
