Two Girls from Silver Spring Located Safe

Two Silver Spring sisters are missing and Montgomery County police are asking the public’s help to locate them.
The girls, Kandyce and Karmen Matos, were last seen by their parents on Saturday, Aug. 4, about 11 p.m., at their home on Hunters Gate Court, police said.
Their parents went to the girls’ bedroom to check on them on Aug. 5 about 11 a.m. and discovered that the girls were not in the home, police said. Detectives believe that the sisters are together.
Kandyce, 11, is 5 feet 4 inches tall, and weighs 137 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes. Karmen, 16, is 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs 160 pounds. She has black hair and brown eyes.
The sisters have been known to frequent Westfield Wheaton Mall at 11160 Veirs Mill Road, the Bel Pre area in Montgomery County, Washington, D.C., and Prince George’s County.
Police and family are concerned for the girls’ welfare.
