Two Arrested in Connection with White Oak Deaths

A drug deal gone bad led to the shootings of two men in White Oak and Montgomery County police have charged two Silver Spring men in connection with the deaths, a police statement says.
Dontaye Jamahl Hunt and Noah Foster Barnett, both 18, are being held without bail at the Montgomery County Detention Center, online court records say.
They are charged in the deaths of Jordan Alexander Radway, 23, of Laurel and Christian Deon Roberts, 24 of Silver Spring.
The deaths occurred about 8:30 p.m. Monday in the 11600 block of Stewart Lane in White Oak. A 911 caller said a vehicle had struck multiple parked cars on the street. When officers responded, they found two dead men inside the car that had struck the parked cars.
On Tuesday, The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore ruled both men were shot multiple times.
Detectives learned that Barnett had contacted Radway on Monday to arrange a marijuana deal between Radway and Hunt. Radway agreed and subsequently contacted Roberts to obtain the marijuana, police said.
Later that evening, Hunt met with Radway and Roberts in the 11500 block of Stewart Lane around 8:30 p.m., police said. Minutes later, witnesses described hearing gun shots and observed a vehicle speeding away from the scene, police said.
On Wednesday, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Hunt charging him with two counts of first-degree murder. Later in the day, detectives located and arrested Hunt.
On Thursday, detectives found and arrested Barnett who was charged with conspiracy to distribute marijuana.
The police statement said the investigation is ongoing. Officers ask anyone with more information to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
