Twelve-year-old From Wheaton Missing

UPDATED, Sept. 12, 11:30 a.m. – Rashad Williams, previously reported missing, has been located in the area and has been reunited with his family.

Police are asking the public for help in locating a missing Wheaton boy.

Rashad Williams, 12, of the 3300 block of Hewitt Avenue in Wheaton, has been reported missing by his family. He was last seen on Sept. 5. Rashad is described as a black male, 4 feet 8 inches tall, weighing 100 pounds, with brown eyes and medium-length brown hair worn in twists.

Police and family are concerned for Rashad’s welfare because of his age. He frequents the Aspen Hill/Layhill area in Wheaton, as well as the Westfield Wheaton Mall and downtown Silver Spring.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Rashad Williams is asked to call the Montgomery County Police Special Victims Investigative Division at 240.773.5300, or the police non-emergency number at 301.279.8000 (24-hour line). Callers may remain anonymous.
