Tuesday Storm Causes Chaos in Montgomery County
On Tuesday, thunderstorms affected various areas of Montgomery County throughout the evening.

According to Pete Piringer, the spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue, MCFRS was working extra hard yesterday.
Piringer tweeted that between 6 and 8 p.m., MCFRS’s Emergency Communication Center answer more than 80 calls that were mostly related to weather-related events.

Piringer said that most of the calls were in the Olney/Laytonsville area, Rockville, and Silver Spring/Takoma Park areas.

Power Outages Still Affecting Communities
Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney tweeted Wednesday morning that they are closed today because of power outages caused by the storm.

Olney Family Displaced After Tree Falls On Home
A family from Olney has been displaced after a tree fell on their townhouse, according to Pete Piringer, the spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services.
