Troopers Make More Than 7,800 Traffic Stops on Memorial Day Weekend
Maryland troopers made more than 7,800 traffic stops on state roads over the Memorial Day holiday weekend.
According to a Maryland State Police Department Facebook post, the stops resulted in the arrest of 111 impaired drivers.
Police said their holiday traffic enforcement took place between May 26 and May 30.
During that time period, troopers issued 5,196 citations, 4,922 warnings and 807 safety equipment repair orders. Police said they also responded to 255 crashes. Police said there were no reported fatal crashes.
