Trial Date Set for Three Defendants in Homicide Case
Judge John DeBelius set a trial date of Jan. 2, 2018, for the three defendants indicted in the case of two Northwest High School students who were shot to death on the eve of their high school graduation in Montgomery Village.
A grand jury indicted Edgar Garcia Gaona, Roger Garcia and Jose Canales-Yanez on murder and firearms charges earlier this month, according to a spokesperson for the state’s attorney’s office.
The defendants did not appear in court for the scheduling hearing on July 21.
