Trees Collapse into Condos, Houses, Following Afternoon Storms
Multiple trees have fallen across the Chevy Chase area from strong storms that passed through the area this afternoon.
A large tree collapsed into a house on the 7000 block of Meadow Lane. No injuries occurred.

A second tree collapsed into the Chevy Chase Crest condos located at the 1800 block of East West Highway. A building inspector is on the scene. Five units are currently unsafe to occupy, according to spokesperson Pete Piringer. The building has been evacuated and no injuries have been reported at this time. According to Piringer, the building has structural damage and several people are displaced.

Many damaged trees have caused power outages in neighborhoods across the area as well.
