Tree Down in Takoma Park (PHOTOS)
Montgomery County firefighters responded to the scene of a large tree that toppled over in the 7400 block of Holly Avenue in Takoma Park on the evening of July 28.
Fire and Rescue Spokesperson Pete Piringer said the tree struck a pedestrian, who was evaluated by EMS crews for minor injuries.
According to Piringer, the road was closed at Holly Avenue and Dogwood Avenue because of the incident. He said the power was out in the area as well.
On his Twitter account, Piringer said it is believed that windy weather brought the tree and wires down.
