Trash Truck Fire Closes Some Lanes of Shady Grove Road
Montgomery County firefighters battled a fire in a trash truck full of compacted cardboard on Shady Grove Road on Tuesday morning for hours, according to a Montgomery County fire official.
Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Pete Piringer tweeted out photos of the fire and said it was “proving difficult to fully extinguish.”
According to Piringer, some lanes of Shady Grove Road near Gaither Road were blocked because of the fire.
