Montgomery County firefighters responded to a townhouse fire in the 19300 block of Elderberry Terrace in Germantown shortly around 3 p.m. on March 23.

According to Assistant Fire Chief Scott Graham, the fire caused $200,000 damage to the middle town house unit and the family lost two dogs in the blaze.  

There were no other injuries, Graham reported on his Twitter account.

So far, there has been no word on the cause of the blaze. The investigation continues.
