‘Tis the Season: Grinch Swipes Holiday Decorations in Rockville

Someone swiped holiday decorations from a balcony between 10 p.m. Nov. 18 and 6 a.m. Nov. 19 in the 100 block of Fallsgrove Boulevard, according to the Rockville City Police crime summary for the week ending Nov. 26.

Arrests

On Nov. 20 at 1:56 a.m., a 29-year-old man was arrested for second-degree assault after an incident that occurred in the 300 block of South Horners Lane.

On Nov. 20 at 8 a.m., a 33-year-old man was arrested for trespassing after an incident in the unit block of Maryland Avenue.

On Nov. 23 at 6 a.m., a 45-year-old woman was arrested for trespassing after an incident in the 1800 block of Rockville Pike. During the course of the investigation, it was learned, that the woman also had an outstanding Rockville City Police Department arrest warrant for second-degree assault, second-degree assault on a police officer, disorderly conduct, and trespassing for an incident that had occurred on Feb. 20 in the 200 block of West Montgomery Avenue. During processing at the Central Processing Unit, the warrant was served.

Incidents

700 block of King Farm Boulevard, someone entered an apartment Nov. 19 between 9:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. Once inside the person removed two pieces of jewelry from a jewelry box.

1000 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that someone removed a wallet containing cash, credit cards and identification cards from an unattended purse on Nov. 21 between 2:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.

100 block of North Washington Street, the complainant reported that someone removed a vehicle on Nov. 22 between 1:15 a.m. and 11 a.m.

300 block of Howard Avenue, the complainant reported that someone removed a vehicle on Nov. 23 between 7:40 p.m. and 8:03 p.m.

400 block of McArthur Drive, the complainant reported that a man removed a bottle of cologne and cash from an unlocked vehicle on Nov. 22 between 4:45 a.m. and 5:55 a.m.

300 block of Park Road, the complainant reported that a man removed a two-way radio, an expandable baton, a flashlight and a box of medical supplies from an unlocked vehicle on Nov. 22 between 4:45 a.m. and 5:55 a.m. After a review of the complainant’s surveillance video, the man was seen wearing a hooded jacket over a baseball style cap with a reflective image on it, unknown colored pants, and shoes with reflective markings.

1000 block of Rockville Pike, the complainant reported that three people entered the business on Nov. 22 between 5:29 p.m. and 5:32 p.m. While one of the suspects distracted an employee, the others removed three sporting equipment items. All three then fled the store without paying for the items. One man was wearing a white hooded jacket, one was wearing a red hooded jacket and on was wearing a gray hooded jacket.
