Thursday Downpours Force Rescheduling of Bethesda Repaving Project
Inclement weather Thursday left the Montgomery County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) and M.T. Laney Company, Inc. no choice but to postpone the partial closure of Wisconsin Avenue at Montgomery Avenue/Old Georgetown Road.
According to an MCDOT press release, M.T. Laney Company, Inc. will now close two northbound and southbound lanes of Wisconsin Avenue beginning at 8 p.m., Monday, September 14 through 5 a.m., Tuesday, September 15. Montgomery Avenue will also be closed to thru traffic during this time.
MCDOT says “one detour route will guide drivers to Jones Bridge Road,” with signage and flaggers present to assist motorists and pedestrians through the work zone.
