Shaping the Future: Transit (Video)

The Montgomery County Council held its most recent “Shaping the Future: Adapting to Change” briefing on June 12 to discuss the Purple Line, the Corridor Cities Transitway and a countywide Rapid Transit Vehicle Network. For nearly three decades, Montgomery County’s transit system has consisted of two branches of the Metrorail Red Line, about 125 on-road Metrobus and Ride On routes and the Brunswick MARC Commuter Rail Service. However, there are plans to massively expand the scope and improve the quality of transit service over the next two decades. CCM’s Susan Kenedy reports.
