Three Pedestrians Struck in Separate Incidents in Silver Spring, Rockville

Three pedestrians were struck Tuesday in Montgomery County. 

The first incident occurred close to 6 a.m. this morning, according to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service (MCFRS) Chief Spokesperson Pete Piringer’s Twitter account. A person was struck on Georgia Avenue and Colesville Road in Silver Spring, and had non-life threatening injuries. 

The second incident was around 6:30 a.m. on Veirs Mill Road and Newport Mill Road, also in Silver Spring. Piringer tweeted that a pedestrian was hit by the side mirror of a passing vehicle, and suffered one minor non-life threatening injury.

The third pedestrian collision occurred around 11 a.m. on Nebel Street and Marinelli Road in Rockville. The person suffered minor, non-life threatening injuries. 

Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) Spokesperson Rick Goodale said the collisions are still under investigation, but not as life-threatening or fatal.
