UPDATED: MCASAC Releases New Photo of Runaway Goat (PHOTO)

UPDATED 4.13.17 An official at the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center has released a new photo of the runaway goat that was caught in Aspen Hill on Wednesday.
In the new photo, the goat, who has been named Truffles by staff members at the MCASAC, appears to be resting comfortably on some hay at the Derwood center.
You may remember that it took three animal control officers to capture the goat on that wild Wednesday morning. Officers described the goat as “very evasive.” In an earlier photo, the goat was seen at the doorstep of a house apparently looking for a place to hide.
Despite the runaway goat’s social media fame, Katherine Zenzano, a spokesperson for the MCASAC, says the animal’s owner has not been found.
Zenzano said if the owner does not come forward within four days, Truffles may be put up for adoption.

ORIGINAL POST 4.12.17 It took three Montgomery County field services officers to capture a goat that was roaming a neighborhood in Aspen Hill around 11 a.m. today.
Katherine Zenzano, a spokesperson for the Montgomery County Animal Services and Adoption Center (MCASAC), said the goat was caught in the 2300 block of Twin Valley Lane.
According to Zenzano, the goat was “very evasive.”
“We believe it is a female goat,” said Zenzano.
If you know someone who is missing an ear-tagged goat in the Aspen Hill area, they may want to contact the MCASAC.
The goat is now at the Animal Services Center at 7315 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood, Zenzano said.
