Montgomery County Shines in WalletHub’s ‘Most Diverse Cities in America’ Report

Three Montgomery County cities were ranked within the top 15 of WalletHub’s report, “2021’s Most Diverse Cities in America” with Gaithersburg at #6, Silver Spring at #7 and Germantown at #12.

According to WalletHub, the report is the final installment of their diversity study series, where they determined the final list through combining household diversity and religious diversity with their previous reports on socioeconomic diversity, cultural diversity and economic diversity. The scores were tallied across these five categories for 501 of the largest cities across 13 metrics.

In the “Socioeconomic Diversity” category alone, Montgomery County topped the charts with Silver Spring ranked #1, Gaithersburg ranked #2 and Germantown ranked #18. In the “Cultural Diversity” category, Gaithersburg ranked #2, Germantown ranked #3 and Silver Spring ranked #5.
