Three people have been charged with human-trafficking and prostitution charges after an investigation that involved the Montgomery County police Vice and Intelligence Unit along with investigators from the Gaithersburg and Rockville City police departments.

The three arrested were Hong Wang, 56, and Xiaoxia Lin, 42, both from the 12500 block of Laurel Grove Road in Germantown; and Hanfeng Zhang, 55, of the 19600 block of Gunners Branch Road in Germantown.

All three are being held at the Montgomery County Detention Center with bail set at $25,000 each.

In December 2017, Montgomery County police became aware of possible prostitution and human trafficking occurring at four massage parlors in Montgomery County.

Detectives identified two massage parlors at 966 Hungerford Drive in Rockville, a massage parlor at 7246 Muncaster Mill Road in Derwood, and a massage parlor at 28 S. Frederick Ave. in Gaithersburg, police said.

Lin, Wang and Zhang owned or operated the massage parlors, police said.

Detectives identified that two Asian women (both of whom possessed identification indicating that they were from New York state) were being housed in an apartment in the 800 block of Clopper Road in Gaithersburg, police said.

Detectives saw Lin driving the females to the four massage parlors to work, police said. Detectives further learned through interviews that women who were working in the four spas would often provide sexual services to the male customers, police said.

On June 12, detectives obtained arrest warrants for Lin, Wang and Zhang charging them with human trafficking and prostitution.

This is an ongoing investigation and detectives anticipate more arrests.

Investigators are urging anyone who has information about Lin, Wang and Zhang to call the Vice and Intelligence Unit at 240-773-5959.
