“This is a Very Sad Day for Us” (Photos & Video)

The Rockville High School community is grieving the loss of 17-year-old Michelle Miller, a popular senior at the school, who police said was shot and killed in an apparent murder-suicide.

At a press conference earlier that day, the school’s principal and lacrosse coach shared their memories of Miller and talked about how students are coping with the loss. MyMCMedia’s Sonya Burke was there.

As memorials continue to go up all over the school’s campus, the Rockville High School community gathered to remember Miller at an evening tribute that featured a balloon release on April 9 at sunset.

The Montgomery County police department has released more information about this case in a press release posted on its website: www.mymcpnews.com/2013/04/08/update-identities-released-in-germantown-deaths/
