Third New Shake Shack Proposed in Montgomery County

(Julia Nikhinson/MCMedia)

A third Shake Shack restaurant has been recently proposed to open in Montgomery County, in the Rockville/North Bethesda area, according to plans on the construction project information and data website Construction Journal.

According to the plan, the former Arby’s fast food restaurant at 11710 Rockville Pike would be renovated into the fast-casual burger restaurant.

Shake Shack has plans to open locations at Westfield Montgomery Mall in Bethesda and in the Kentlands in Gaithersburg. Shake Shack Spokesperson Katie Scott could not confirm the Rockville Pike location; she told MyMCM she could only confirm the Westfield and Kentlands plans.

Currently, there is one Shake Shack in the county: in Cabin John Village at 7997 Tuckerman Lane in Potomac.
