Third Man Arrested in Montgomery Village Killing

A third man has been arrested in the death a Hyattsville man who was killed in Montgomery Village on Feb. 10, Montgomery County police said.

Davion Antonio Foster, 20, of the 2300 block of Green Street SE, Washington, D.C., was arrested in Tysons Corner, Va., on a Montgomery County arrest warrant, police said in a statement.

Police said the victim of the homicide was Wassi Harron Raheem Young, 20. About 2 p.m. Feb. 10, Hawk Run Terrace residents called 911 about a shooting that had just occurred in the 8500 block of the street, police said at the time. Officers found Young in the parking lot area of the neighborhood suffering from an apparent gunshot wound; he died from his wounds there, police said.

Foster is charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery, police said.  He is being held at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center awaiting an extradition hearing to be returned to Montgomery County, police said.

Two others were previously arrested for the homicide of Young. Samuel Fayomi Brown,  20, of Hyattsville and Tierek Ty Jay Thomas, 20, of  5th Street NW, Washington, D.C.  They were arrested on March 9 at separate locations in Prince George’s County on Montgomery County arrest warrants, police said.  They were charged with first-degree murder, attempted first-degree murder, armed robbery and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.

Online court records show both men are being held in lieu of bail.

Due to the ongoing investigation, police said no additional details will be released by the Department at this time.
