Cable County Montgomery’s show “Made in Montgomery” will feature local blues and rock band “The Nighthawks” on its latest episode. The show will explore the band’s 40-year history.

“The Nighthawks” are somewhat of a legend here in Montgomery County. The band was founded in 1974 when the original line-up included Mark Wenner, Jimmy Thackery, Jan Zukowskim and Pete Ragusa. Now Wenner, who attended Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School, is the sole remaining original band member and is joined by Johnny Castle, Paul Bell, and Mark Stutso.

The band has performed with various blues and rockabilly icons including, Muddy Waters, James Cotton, and Carl Perkins.
