The Fillmore Makes Billboard’s Top 25 Music Club List

How does The Fillmore in Silver Spring compare with the House of Blues in Orlando and the 9:30 Club? Well, they all made Billboard’s list of the top 25 most popular music clubs in the country. The Fillmore Silver Spring enters the charts at Number 12.

The rankings were based on attendance figures reported to Billboard Boxscore between May 1, 2013 and April 30, 2014. The Fillmore Silver Spring’s total attendance for the period was 152,332.

Operated by Live Nation under a lease with Montgomery County, The Fillmore Silver Spring opened on September 15, 2011 in the renovated shell of the JC Penney store on Colesville Road in downtown Silver Spring. It was inspired by the original Fillmore in San Francisco and it has a capacity of up to 2,000 people.
