Teen Honored with Citizen’s Public Safety Award (Video)

A 13-year-old Montgomery County girl is being recognized by local officials for her heroic actions after she saw smoke coming from a neighbor’s house in Damascus and alerted her mom to call 9-1-1.  That house happened to be the home of Montgomery County Police Officer Nicole Gamard.

Commander David Gillepsie presented Eva Soderstrom with the Citizens Public Safety Award for her quick thinking at a recent news conference. Take a look:
