Teacher Charged With Child Porn Posts Bond
A physical education teacher at Ashburton Elementary School posted $5,000 bond Wednesday, according to online court records.
The teacher, Daemon Alan Dartouzos, 54, of Germantown, faces 10 counts of possessing child pornography, according to the record.
In an email sent to Ashburton parents, principal Gregory Mullenholz said Dartouzos has been on leave from the school since January 2018 after officers executed a search warrant at his home.
According to charging documents, an international investigation involved a money transfer service, an online email and chat service, the National Center of Missing and Exploited Children and the FBI. The FBI was able to find IP addresses which led to Dartzoukos, the charging documents say.
The charging documents say that during the search warrant of Dartzoukos’ home, officers took electronic storage devices where they found child pornography.
Dartzoukos has invoked his right to remain silent.
