Takoma Park’s Nominating Caucus to Accept Nominations on Sept. 12

Takoma Park’s Nominating Caucus will accept nominations of candidates for city council and mayor on Sept. 12 in the Community Center Auditorium, according to a news release.

Residents who plan to run for office must be nominated at the caucus by Sept. 12 to qualify for candidacy.

The meeting is open to the public but only qualified voters residing in the City of Takoma Park can nominate or second the nomination of candidates.

Any person nominated as a candidate must meet the qualifications of the office for which she/he is nominated.
