Takoma Park Receives $90,000 Energy Efficiency Grant to Help Homeowners
To help low-to-moderate income families with home energy efficiency renovations, the Maryland Energy Administration (MEA) granted the City of Takoma Park with a $90,000 grant.
The grant will help approximately 10 energy efficient restorations for qualifying homeowners within the City, according to a news release.
Eligible applicants will receive a free home energy assessment to help identify which improvements will have the greatest impact. Upgrades available include insulation improvements, heating and cooling equipment and appliances. Participants are expected to save $500 annually on electric and gas bills.
To apply, residents can pick up an application from Public Works at 31 Oswego Avenue on Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m to 5:00 p.m or download the application by clicking here.
