Takoma Park Police Say They’re on Lookout for Car Involved in Girl’s Attempted Abduction

Takoma Park police say an 8-year-old girl was the victim of an attempted abduction Tuesday morning.

Police are asking residents who live on Elm or Pine avenues and have outdoor security cameras to call them at 301-270-1100 to assist in the investigation.

Police are looking for a Chrysler Pacifica possibly with D.C. tags and with dents on the side of the vehicle; a man was driving. The passenger had a light brown skin tone with hazel eyes, a black knit hat and faded black hooded sweatshirt with a white stripe and holes. He also had a “hoop” nose ring, a flower tattoo on his left hand and a pimple near his left eye.

The vehicle was last seen on Elm Avenue driving toward the John Nevins Andrews School.

Anyone with information is asked to call 301-270-1100.
