Takoma Park House Fire Causes Major Damage
UPDATED, 11:30 a.m., Aug. 15- Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Pete Piringer is reporting damage estimates of more than $200,000 from a fire at a Takoma Park home Friday morning.
In a tweet, Piringer said the fire started in the first-floor dining room and investigators are still determining the cause. One firefighter suffered minor injuries on the scene, he said in the tweet.
ORIGINAL POST- Fire at a home on Kansas Lane in Takoma Park caused major structural damage but no injuries Friday morning.
According to Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Spokesman Pete Piringer, the fire started about 6 a.m. and was extinguished in about an hour.
