UPDATED: Takoma Park Facilities to Remain Closed for Monday and Tuesday

City of Takoma Park officials released an update on winter weather activities.
Takoma Park offices and facilities will be closed on Tuesday, January 26 however a previously scheduled Council retreat will take place. Officials also say that there will be no trash, recycling, or food waste collection on Tuesday.

There will be no trash, recycling or food waste collection on Tuesday 1/26. The Police Department is always open for emergency services.

City of Takoma Park officials announced that city facilities will be closed on Monday, January 25. The police department will remain open for emergency services.
No yard waste will be collected, officials said in a press release. City officials are also advising residents to be aware of several posted signs to assist with plowing efforts.
- Do Not Enter at Flower and Garland. Flower will operate as a one way from Jackson to Garland.
- Do Not Enter at the top of the hill at Kansas and Allegheny. This will prevent traffic from entering Kansas towards Cockerille and from entering Allegheny towards Fourth.
- Do Not Enter at Hancock and Lee and Hancock and Sherman. To stop drivers from attempting to go down steep streets.
