Gaithersburg Police Survey
Striving for continuous improvement, the Gaithersburg Police Department is committed to providing quality, professional service to all residents. In an effort to recognize officers and other employees who provide exemplary service, the Gaithersburg Police Department is inviting community members or visitors who have had a positive experience with any police employee, or the department as a whole, to submit a commendation.
In those instances where the service delivered by the department or any of its employees is considered substandard, individuals are encouraged to bring the matter to the department’s attention immediately. In a fair, thorough and impartial manner, the Gaithersburg Police Department investigates all complaints made against the department or its members.
Commendation and complaint forms can be picked up at the Gaithersburg Police Station at 14 Fulks Corner Avenue, Gaithersburg, MD 20877. A supervisor is always available to discuss matters involving our members. Commendations and complaints can also be made by e-mail to police@gaithersburgmd.gov, by telephone to 301-258-6400, or by completing the online Citizen Police Survey at the link below.
When notifying us of exemplary or substandard conduct, please identify the member(s) involved, his or her specific action(s), and any other pertinent information, such as date, time, and location of the incident.
Community stakeholders who have had any experience with police employees or the department as a whole are invited to share their experiences by completing the online Citizen Police Survey at http://www.gaithersburgmd.gov/poi/default.asp?POI_ID=1006&TOC=107;85;1006;
If you would like a survey mailed to you, please contact John Osborne by phone at 301-258-6400 or by e-mail at josborne@gaitherbsurgburgmd.gov.
