A group of Republican activists met in downtown Kentlands over the weekend to hand out literature touting “no increase in spending and no new taxes” just days before Maryland lawmakers convened a special session in Annapolis. The Republicans said they hoped residents would contact their lawmakers with the same message.

Early voting in Montgomery County has begun and hundreds of voters have already cast their ballot. There are five voting centers that have been busy with early voters.
