In this video clip, MTV Original VJ Mark Goodman explains why he doesn’t watch “American Idol” and “The Voice.” Goodman was recently in Gaithersburg attending the Book Festival where he was promoting his new book, “VJ: The Unplugged Adventures of MTV’s First Wave,” along with former MTV VJ Nina Blackwood.

We asked “The Voice’s” Erin Willett if she wants people to say hi when they spot her out and about and she said yes. The singer described the singing competition process as grueling and she’s grateful for all her hometown support.
