Montgomery County Council President Roger Berliner commented on Pepco’s recent rate increase request during his Dec 1 press briefing. The rate increase request filed included three components; a $60 million rate increase, a return on equity rate increase and a grid resiliency surcharge. Berliner explains why he believes these requests are “suspect,” “unwarranted,” and “unjustified.”
