New Two Tier Disability Retirement System For County Employees (Video)
Montgomery County has been trying to reform the disability retirement system since 2008. A landmark decision to create a two tier disability retirement system for all Montgomery County employees took effect July 1. Now, a panel will review claims and differentiate between partial and severe disabilities. Estimated savings is 3 million dollars a year.
