Patients with referrals can come to the vehicle emissions inspection center in Silver Spring for drive-thru COVID-19 testing. The site opened on Tuesday, and Montgomery County Chief of Public Health Services Dr. Travis Gayles hopes to have the capacity to test 100 people each day the site is open.

During a virtual media briefing Wednesday, Montgomery County Executive Marc Elrich suggested wearing a face mask if you’re out where other people are to slow the spread of COVID-19. He said we should do whatever we can to help ourselves until vaccines and treatments are created.
