On this episode of Dialogando Con Polizia del Condado de Montgomery, host Blanca Kling speaks with Assistant Chief Luther Reynolds from the Management Services Bureau. Reynolds provides information about and demonstrates the new body cameras that our local officers will be wearing. They discuss the importance of reaching out to minority communities and providing a dialogue with police.  

The Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD) is piloting the body worn cameras program this month. Lorna Virgili reports that 20 administrative officers are already wearing the cameras and 80 other officers will be joining them by the end of this month. The Montgomery County Council on March 12 unanimously confirmed the recommendations of County Executive Isiah Leggett to promote Captain Darryl McSwain and Commander Luther Reynolds to assistant police chiefs.
