The annual Salvadoran-American Day Festival celebrated Montgomery County’s Salvadoran community on Aug. 2 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Wheaton. The 6th annual Salvadoran-American Day Festival is today at the Wheaton Triangle. In this County Report This Week video, Montgomery County Executive Isiah Leggett said there are more than 60,000 El Salvadorans living in Montgomery County. “They’ve made enormous contributions to our county,” Leggett said.
