Kentlands Day begins with a parade at 10 a.m. on May 5 and features a car show. The Gaithersburg event takes place in downtown Kentlands (Centerpoint Way and Kentlands Boulevard) and includes a business fair, Taste of Kentlands, three stages of local entertainment, silent auction and more.   Gaithersburg Book Festival volunteers passed out hundreds of free books on April 23 at the Washingtonian/Rio to passersby as part of World Book Night.
