In what will be her last hometown performance before she heads west, Erin Willett of NBC’s The Voice will be on stage  with her band from New York at Growlers in Gaithersburg at 10 p.m. on August 4. Here’s a video of Willett performing her original “Home” at the Gaithersburg Book Festival.

Erin Willett performs an original song, “Daily City Hustle” at the Gaithersburg Book Festival. Take a look at her hometown performance, and yes, that’s a train in the background.

With over 15,000 people attending the local event, the Gaithersburg Book Festival set a record for attendance, according to organizers. There were more authors than ever before too, including The Bloggess and The World Champion. MCM’s Sonya Burke reports.

After performing on NBC’s “The Voice,” Erin Willett is back home in Gaithersburg where she’s enjoying a less rigid schedule. In this video clip, she tells us what it was like to walk back in her room after living in a hotel for so long.

We asked “The Voice’s” Erin Willett if she wants people to say hi when they spot her out and about and she said yes. The singer described the singing competition process as grueling and she’s grateful for all her hometown support.
