Pursuant to President Barack Obama’s Proclamation to lower the United States Flag in honor of Former Senator Arlen Specter, who died this week, Maryland Governor Martin O’Malley has ordered the United States Flag and Maryland State Flag to be flown at half-staff from sunrise to sunset on Tuesday, October 16.
