Suspect Wanted for Two Bank Robberies in Rockville

Montgomery County Police are searching for a man believed to have robbed two Rockville banks in less than a week.

On October  9 around 10:00 a.m., a man entered the Old Line Bank at 1801 Rockville Pike and passed a note announcing a robbery. The suspect demanded money and implied that he had a weapon. The suspect fled the scene riding a bicycle with an undisclosed amount of money.

The suspect stopped at a nearby parking lot to remove the clothing he was wearing during the robbery and continued north on Rockville Pike.

On October 15  at around 10:30 a.m., a man entered the Congressional bank located at 1700 Rockville Pike and also passed a note announcing a robbery.

The suspect demanded cash and implied that he was armed with a weapon.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of currency and fled from the bank, police said.

Anyone with information about the suspect or these bank robberies is asked to contact the Montgomery County Police at 240-773-5100.  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to the arrest and/or indictment of this suspect.  Tipsters will remain anonymous.
