Superintendent Completes Ice Bucket Challenge for ALS

On Tuesday, Montgomery County Schools Superintendent Joshua Starr got a challenge and stepped up to the plate….err, the ice bucket that is.

Lance Dempsey, principal of the Northwest Jaguars in Germantown, challenged Starr to complete the ALS ice bucket challenge, a viral fundraising effort by the nonprofit to raise awareness for Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), often referred to as “Lou Gehrig’s Disease.”
