Street Beat: Silver Spring

Construction began on May 14 in Silver Spring to rebuild the curb and access ramps at the intersection of Wayne Avenue, Second Avenue and Coleville Road. The west leg of the
crosswalk on Colesville Road between Second Avenue and Wayne Avenue (the corner opposite McDonalds) will be closed for about two weeks.

To access Metro or the bus stop area during the construction, options include:
• Staying on the same side of Colesville Road as McDonalds, then continuing to the Metro entrance on the north side of the street.
• Crossing Colesville Road from Second Avenue at the east leg of the intersection (same side as McDonalds), then crossing Wayne Avenue and proceeding to the Metro or
bus bays on the south side of Colesville Road.
