Street Beat: Longdraft Road Construction Project
Gaithersburg’s Department of Public Works will be improving Longdraft Road from the intersection of Clopper Road to the end in August.
The work will consist of removal and replacement of the deteriorated curb, sidewalk, and driveway aprons and the resurfacing of existing pavement.
The curb, sidewalk and driveway apron replacement will begin approximately the week of August 4th, weather permitting, and will continue for about three weeks. The resurfacing portion of the project will follow.
“No Parking” signs will be posted at least 48 hours in advance of construction activity. City officials said these signs will be marked with the dates and times of the parking restrictions. Residents are advised to not park vehicles on the street during the construction.
Work will take place on weekdays between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. For more information, visit the city’s website.
