Street Beat: Construction Begins on Median at Clarksburg Road and I-270 Next Week
Construction is beginning on the median of Clarksburg Road at I-270 on April 17.
According to a public notice by the Pleasants Construction Company, one of the two thru lanes on southbound Clarksburg Road in the vicinity of the bridge over I-270 will be closed until the construction in the median is finished.
The work is expected to take about three weeks.
Once the median is complete, the two thru lanes will be reopened until final surface and paving begins.
In addition, construction workers will be shifting the two thru lanes on northbound Clarksburg Road to the right side of the bridge over I-270. Traffic will remain in this configuration until final surface and paving is completed as well.
Matt Burdette, the project manager for Pleasants Construction Company, said the road improvements should be complete sometime in the month of June.
