Street Beat: Bridge Delays

Motorists on US 340 should be perpared for possible delays at the bridge over the Potomac River at the Maryland/Virginia state line on September 10, between 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., due to a routine bridge inspection.

A flagging operation will be in place during those hours. Maryland State Highway Adminstration (SHA) inspectors will be performing a hands-on bridge inspection, which must be done in the daylight.

Motorists should allow extra time and use caution in the area.
